MT. VERNON, Ohio. – La Roche men's lacrosse was unable to get past Mount Vernon Nazarene on Wednesday afternoon, falling to the Cougars, 27-1.

Mount opened the scoring to the contest just 38 seconds in and would go on to score the first seven goals of the game.

La Roche's lone goal was scored at the 1:58 mark of the first quarter, an unassisted goal by Robert Johnson.

The Cougars would add one final tally in the first to lead 8-1, then shutout the Redhawks over the final three quarter, 5-0, 9-0 and 5-0.

Goalie Connor Radecki faced 43 shots in the contest and came up with 16 saves.

La Roche's final home game of the season and senior day is due up next and will take place on Friday, Apr. 11 when they face Hilbert. Faceoff is set for 4 p.m.
