Redhawks Drop Road Contest To Earlham

RICHMOND, Ind. – La Roche men's lacrosse was unable to get past Earlham on the road Saturday afternoon, falling to the Quakers, 25-9.

In the first quarter, Earlham jumped out to a 7-0 lead, then Nolan Lynam scored for the Redhawks to make it 7-1. The Quakers would score the final two goals to take a 9-1 lead into the second.

Lynam would earn another point to start the second quarter scoring, setting up Logan McQueen for his first collegiate goal, then after an Earlham goal, Lynam scored his second of the game to make it 10-3.

The Quakers would go on to net five unanswered goals, then Lynam closed the first half scoring and the score sat at 15-4.

Out of the break, Stephen Mescan opened the scoring with La Roche's fifth goal, assisted by Ben Cadamore, then after five Earlham goals, Cadamore found the back of the net, assisted by Robert Johnson.

The Quakers would close the game with the final five goals, including three in the third and two in the fourth.

The Redhawks ended the game with 16 shots and nine shots on goal, with Lynam leading the team with seven shots. Both Lynam and Cadamore led with three shots on goal.

Goalie Connor Radecki faced 47 shots in the contest and came up with 22 saves.

La Roche's next road contest is next Saturday, Apr. 5 when they open AMCC play against Alfred State. Faceoff is set for 2 p.m.
