Redhawks Downed By Terriers

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche men's lacrosse was unable to get past visiting Hiram on Wednesday night, falling to the Terriers, 25-5.

In the first quarter, it took Hiram 3:04 to begin the scoring, netting the first seven goals of the quarter.

La Roche's first goal came at 2:47 of the first, when Ben Cadamore scored to make it 7-1.

The Redhawks opened the second quarter scoring when Evan Lyons found Robert Johnson just 10 seconds in, but seven unanswered followed by the Terriers to make it 14-2.

Johnson would score his second of the game at 5:50 and Hiram closed the quarter scoring, taking a 15-3 lead into the half.

Hiram did all the scoring in the third, 6-0, then opened the fourth quarter with a goal.

La Roche found the back of the net twice in the fourth scored by Johnson and Cadamore.

The Redhawks ended the game with 14 shots and nine shots on goal, with Johnson leading the team with eight shots and seven on net.
Goalie Connor Radecki faced 41 shots in the contest and came up with 18 saves.
La Roche rounds out a four-game home stretch to open the season on Friday, Mar. 21 against Bryn Athyn. Faceoff is set for 4 p.m.
