Redhawks Drop Matchup With Barons

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche men's lacrosse hosted Franciscan on Wednesday afternoon, but fell to the Barons, 26-3.

Franciscan scored the first four goals of the first quarter, but at 10:32, LeBron James scored his first collegiate goal, assisted by Ben Cadamore to make it 4-1.

Unfortunately, the Barons would score 20 unanswered, leading 9-1 after one, 15-1 at the half and 23-1 through three, then scored the opening goal of the fourth.

La Roche added two tallied in the fourth as Robert Johnson scored unassisted, as did Ben Cadamore.

Franciscan would score twice between the Redhawk goals.

The Redhawks ended the game with 17 shots and seven shots on goal.

Cadamore led the team with nine shots and Johnson finished with seven.

Goalie Nolan Lyman faced 35 shots in the contest and came up with 11 saves, in relief, Conner Radecki stopped two of four shots.

The men get a bit of time to prepare for the next match, that takes place on Tuesday, Mar. 18 when La Roche welcomes Hiram for a 5:30 p.m. start.
