Men's Lacrosse Places Fourth In Preseason Poll

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. - La Roche men's lacrosse was placed fourth in the AMCC Preseason Poll, released by the conference on Wednesday.

The Redhawks finished 2024 with an overall record of 0-12, playing an independent schedule, but made strides under head coach Richard Richenbach in his first season.

Alfred State and Hilbert tied for the top spot, while Pitt-Bradford was third, with the red and black rounding out the rankings.

Named to the Players to Watch list for La Roche were junior goalkeeper, Connor Ridecki, who finished the season with 249 saves and leading scorer, sophomore Robert Johnson, who finished with seven goals.

The Redhawks will host five games in the 2025 season and travel for seven.

Four home games start the year, with the home opener on Mar. 3 against Wilmington (Ohio) at 4 p.m., followed by matchups against Franciscan (Mar. 5), Hiram (Mar. 18) and Bry Athyn (Mar. 21).

Five straight road matches follow, including four non-conference games with Thiel (Mar. 22), W&J (Mar. 26), Earlham (Mar. 29) and Mount Vernon Nazarene (Apr. 9). AMCC play opens with Alfred State in between on Apr. 5.

The final home game and lone AMCC home matchup is set for Apr. 12 and the season concludes with road matchups at Pitt-Bradford (Apr. 23) to round out AMCC play, then ends with Warren Wilson on Apr. 26.
