Redhawks Close 2024 Season Against Hilbert

HAMBURG, N.Y. – La Roche men's lacrosse closed the 2024 season on the road against Hilbert, falling to the Hawks 22-3 in the second matchup of the season.

Hilbert would score seven goals in the opening quarter, followed by eight in the second to take a 15-0 lead into the break.

After the Hawks added three more goals two more goals to move the score to 17-0 to start the third, Cody Budgick netted the first Redhawk goal, unassisted with a man up.

Hilbert would score two goals to close out the third and then three goals to open the fourth.

La Roche scored the final two goals of the game, as Hubbard scored unassisted, then Robert Johnson closed the scoring as he was assisted by Budgick.

The Redhawks ended the game with 11 shots and seven shots on goal.

Johnson led the team with five shots, while he and Hubbard each had two on net.

Goalie Connor Radecki faced 48 shots in the contest and came up with 26 saves.

Despite the record, La Roche saw much growth in the 2024 season, including scoring a goal in every game, the first time doing so in a full season since the 2019.
