La Roche University midfielder Shawn McDanel and defender Jimmy Wodarek have been named to the AMCC All-Conference Team. McDanel was voted the AMCC Defensive Player of the Year and to the All-Conference First Team. Wodarek earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team.

McDanel has been one of the nation's top players since he stepped foot on campus during the 2017-18 season. McDanel led both the AMCC and the nation in ground balls last season while ranking nineteenth in the country in caused turnovers.

McDanel followed his record-setting 2017-18 with a strong sophomore campaign. McDanel again led the conference in ground balls while ranking third in caused turnovers. He was the top faceoff man in the league, ranked second in shooting percentage, tenth in assists, eleventh in goals, and twelfth in points. 

Wodarek is just one of two freshmen to be named to the All-Conference Team. Wodarek started all 17 games and ranked twelfth in the league with 17 ground balls. He helped form the young defensive nucleus that led the AMCC in caused turnovers.
