WHEELING, W. Va. - La Roche men's golf put together a third place finish as a team and Josh Kapcin paced the Redhawks with a second place individual finish at the Bethany Invitational on Tuesday.
As a team, La Roche shot a 329 overall, finishing just nine strokes back of team champion Pitt-Greensburg.
Kapcin put together a tremenous round of golf, shooting a 73 (+2) on the par 71 course, leading the red and black on the day.
Cole Elfringham followed with an 82 (+11) to place 13th and behind him was Noah Talarico, whose 84 (+13) ended T-17th.
Rounding out the lineup for the Redhawks was Shaun Pfeifer shooting a 90 (+19) to T-38th and Tyler Campbell at 101 (+30) for a 43rd place finish.
After a hot start to the season, La Roche gets a few weeks off to prepare for the Waynesburg Invitational on Monday, Sept. 30.
