Men's Golf Competes at AMCC Championships

CLYMER, N.Y. - The La Roche men's golf team competed as individuals Sunday and Monday at  the AMCC Championships at the Peek'N Peak Championship golf resort in Clymer, New York.

Day One Recap

LRU sophomore Casey Hulbert (Kennedy Twp, PA/Montour) shot the Redhawks top score of the day with a 91 to put him in 18th place out of 33 individual competitors. Senior Mike Zappala (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) shot a 137 on day one.

The Penn State Behrend men's golf team is on top of the leaderboard with a team-low score of 320 after day one of the 2020 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships at the Peek n' Peak Golf Course on Sunday afternoon.

Day Two Recap

On day two, Casey Hulbert shot an 84, his best score in a round of 18 at the AMCC Championships in his young collegiate career. Hulbert shot seven strokes better than he did on day one and finished 16th overall, two spots better than his day one finish. Hulbert averaged a 86.40 score in five rounds of 18 this spring season. Senior Mike Zappala shot a 144 on day two.

The Penn State Behrend men's golf team won their 10th Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship with a two-day total of 632. Behrend's Ryan Meyer was crowned the individual champion with a 75-74 and winning score of 149.
