Men's Golf Competes at Behrend Invite

ERIE, Pa. - On a chilly and windy Saturday afternoon in Erie, PA, men's golf competed in their first invitational in well over a year. The James Bowen Invitational, hosted by Penn St. Behrend, took place Saturday, April 3rd at the Whispering Woods Golf Club.

Under first year head coach Max Kaminsky, sophomore Casey Hulbert (Kennedy Twp, PA/Montour) was the Redhawks sole competitor at the event. Hulbert shot a 95 on the day finishing tied for 19th overall. Hulbert finished with the third best score among seven individual competitors at the event.

Penn St. Altoona won the event with a team score 334, slightly edging out the host Penn St. Behrend by one stroke (335). Pitt Bradford finished third (356) and Mt. Aloysius finished fourth (384). Andrew Ferguson from Penn St. Altoona had the best individual showing of the day. Ferguson finished three strokes ahead of the next best golfer and shot an 80.

The Redhawks will compete as individuals again this tuesday, April 6th with Carlow at the Youghiogheny Country Club in McKeesport, PA.
