NEW CASTLE, Pa. - The men's golf team headed north this afternoon to compete in the annual Westminster Fall Invite at the New Castle Country Club. The Redhawks shot a team score of 338 and finished 8th overall out 11 teams on the day. Last year at the event, La Roche finished 6th out of 12 competitors but shot a stroke worse.
Senior David Wilson (Clinton, PA) was the top finisher for the Redhawks, shooting a 77 on the day, tied for 10th overall out of 66 golfers. Today's performance marks the third straight event Wilson has finished as La Roche's top competitor (T-1st with Senior Pat McCall (Elizabeth, PA) on 9/22 at Mt. Aloysius Invitational) and his second best performance this season. Wilson shot 7 strokes better today than he did last season at Westminster (83 on 9/24/2018). His 77 today would have been good enough to tie for first overall at last year's invite.
