Men's Golf place 4th overall in annual Pitt-Bradford Invitational

BRADFORD, Pa. - The La Roche University men's golf team opened the season tying for 4th place with Grove City college at the Pitt-Bradford golf invitational on Saturday at Penn Hills Golf Club. The Redhawks shot a team total of 317, finishing just 4 strokes back of third place (Westminster College) and 6 strokes back of 2nd place (Penn St.-Behrend). The host's, Pitt-Bradford, took the crown shooting a team total of 299. 

Three Redhawks finished in the top 20 of the invitational. Senior David Wilson led the way shooting a team best 75 strokes, good enough for 4th place overall (tied with Jacob Marquardt of Penn St.-Behrend & Carter Rostron of Hobart College). 

Freshman Casey Hulbert shot an impressive 79 in his collegiate debut, tying for 18th place overall with his teammate, senior Kordell Collins. Senior Pat McCall tied for 37th shooting an 84 on the day and newcomer Zech Sines finished 70th with 102 strokes. 

14 teams participated in Saturday's event. 

The Redhawks next invitational will be at Grove City Country Club on Thursday, September 12th at 1:00 p.m.
