Vetica Wins First-Career Tournament as Men's Golf Cruises in Victory at Pitt-Bradford Invitational

BRADFORD, PA – La Roche Men's Golf cruised to a season-opening victory at the Pitt-Bradford Invitational on Saturday. The Redhawks shot a 310 on the par-72 Pine Acres Country Club course to win their fourth tournament in six tries. Elmira College finished with a 321 for second place and conference-foe Penn State Behrend shot a 324 to finish in third place.

Freshman Jared Vetica led all golfers with a tournament-low 75 to clinch his first-career win. Reigning AMCC Conference Golfer of the Year Kevin Loutsenhizer shot a 76 to tie for second place and freshman Nolan Shank finished tied for fourth with a 5-over 77. Jeff Held shot a very-solid 82 to end the day tied for seventeenth and Reed Tomlinson carded a 90 to finish tied for forty-eighth.

La Roche will look to extend their winning-streak when they travel to Gowanda Country Club for the Hilbert Invitational on Friday, September 7.
