Men's Basketball Faces Pitt Greensburg in AMCC Game of the Week

McCANDLESS , Pa. - La Roche men's basketball heads to Pitt Greensburg Wednesday, February 19th to play in their third AMCC Game of the Week this season. The Redhawks defeated the Bobcats at the Kerr in the AMCC GOTW on December 21st, 89-73. Tyler Frederick scored a career-high 34 points in the win. Tip-off for tomorrow night's game is set for 6:00 p.m. at the Chambers Hall Gym on UPG's campus.

La Roche (OVR: 17-6, AMCC: 17-1)

Last Time Out: The Redhawks prevailed in a tight game at Hilbert last Saturday, 88-86, after Darrell Barron hit a late shot and LRU's defense stood strong in the closing seconds. In a game that saw 16 ties and six lead changes, neither team led by more than 8 points in the contest. After trailing by three at the half, La Roche outscored Hilbert 55-50 in the second while shooting 60.6% (20-33) from the field and 53.8% (7-13) from deep. Five different Redhawks finished in double-digit scoring figures (Frederick: 19, Pipilo: 15, Smith: 13, Hannes: 13, Lawrence: 11). The Redhawks have completed six second half comebacks this season, two of them coming against Hilbert. La Roche defeated the Hawks in both games this season by five points combined.
