Coach Chase Rowe took over the La Roche University Baseball program in the fall of 2006 at the age of 23, making him one of the youngest head coaches in the NCAA.  Under the leadership of Rowe, the program has been 370-195-1, a .655 winning percentage in the past 13 seasons.  The Redhawks have won 8 Regular Season titles, 7 AMCC Conference Titles and finished Runner-Up in the 2015 NCAA Mideast Regional and won the 2016 NCAA Mideast Regional to advance to the programs first College World Series.  The program has set a new record for wins each of the past six years with the 2016 squad setting the bar at 43 wins while finishing in the Final Four of the D3 National Tournament.  Coach Rowe has won 7 AMCC Coach of the Year Awards and in 2015 and 2016 he was named the ABCA/Diamond Mideast Region Coach of the Year as well as the D3baseball.com Mideast Region Coach of the Year.  Rowe was also the recipient of the 2015 Chuck Tanner Collegiate Coach of the Year award.

In the winter of 2019, Rowe left La Roche to serve as an assistant hitting coach for a minor league affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. In September 2020, it was announced that Coach Rowe would be leaving his position with the Tigers to return to La Roche and lead the baseball program once again.

Rowe has had 6 All-Americans, 28 All-Region selections, 95 players named to the AMCC All- Conference Team and 86 players named to the AMCC All- Academic Team. Five players have signed professional contracts during the Rowe Era at La Roche, 2010 George Nahay, 2015 Tyler Ferguson, 2015 Alex Simone, 2015 Tanner Wilt, and 2017 David Lemley.

Prior to his coaching career, Rowe played one season at Gulf Coast Community College under Coach Darren Mazeroski, son of Hall of Famer Bill Mazeroski, whom both attributed greatly to his knowledge of the game of baseball.  Following his year at GCCC, Rowe played 3 seasons at Slippery Rock University, under legendary head coach Jeff Messer.  Rowe was a member of the 2003 Rock baseball team that won the North Atlantic Regional title and competed in the NCAA Division II World Series.  That team still holds the school record for wins with 43.  Rowe made the 2003 North Atlantic Regional All Tournament Team and was a 2-time 1^st team All- PSAC member. He also finished second in the PSAC batting title race his senior year with a .412 batting average. Rowe held at one time the school record for doubles in a season, with 21 through 44 games in 2005.

Rowe is the owner of Respect The Game LLC and the Pittsburgh Spikes Baseball Club. Through ten years the Pittsburgh Spikes have produced 81 collegiate baseball players and boasts the region’s best staff for player development.

Coach Rowe was an Associate Scout with the Florida Marlins in 2009-2011 and currently is an Associate Scout with the Colorado Rockies.

Rowe also has experience as a camp instructor at Slippery Rock University, Mansfield University, and The University of Pittsburgh.

Rowe graduated from Knoch High School in 2001 and received his bachelor’s degree in Sport Coaching from The United States Sports Academy in 2008.  He currently resides in the Mars area with his wife Jocelyn and their son Nolan and daughters Anne and Harper.
