NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. - La Roche baseball's graduate pitcher Casey Jones was named AMCC Pitcher of the Week by the conference, announced on Monday afternoon.

Jones was instrumental in the Redhawks clinching a spot in the AMCC Baseball Championship Tournament with a remarkable performance on the mound in game two's 4-1 victory over Alfred State on Sunday.

In the nine-inning matchup of the twin-bill, Jones put together a complete game effort that saw him allow just one unearned run, seven hits, walk none and strikeout nine Pioneers.

The victory locked up a playoff spot for La Roche, who will enter the AMCC Tournament as the #6 seed and will meet #3 Hilbert in a best of three series this upcoming weekend.
