Senior starting pitcher Jake Seymour (Allison Park, PA/Hampton) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week (4/26 - 5/2) for the first time in his career. Last week, Seymour pitched two complete games and went 2-0 with wins over Mt. Aloysius and Pitt Bradford.

In 7.0 innings pitched against the Mounties in the AMCC Game of the Week on April 26, Seymour struck-out a career-high 11 batters, walked one and gave up just two earned runs and three hits. In his second performance against Pitt Bradford on May 1, Seymour collected his third shutout win of the season in a 14-0 blowout. In 7.0 innings pitched, he fanned seven Panthers, walked one and gave up only three hits.

The 2019 AMCC All-Conference First Team member is currently 5-0 on the season. His five wins are tied for first in the conference. Seymour's 0.52 ERA leads the AMCC and ranks 8th among all NCAA D-III pitchers. He currently has 35 strikeouts, five walks and only two earned runs in 34.0 innings pitched this season.
