Chase Rowe Returns to Head Baseball Program

The La Roche University Athletic Department is thrilled to announce former baseball head coach Chase Rowe will be returning to lead the program after serving as an assistant hitting coach for a minor league affiliate of the Detriot Tigers during the COVID shortened season.

When asked about returning to La Roche, Rowe has this to say: "The opportunity to check the box and become a professional baseball coach is an opportunity that I am extremely grateful for and will cherish forever. La Roche University is home to me and my family, we are excited to get back to work and to continue the great tradition that our coaching staff and players worked so hard to build."

Coach Rowe led the Redhawks for 13 seasons from 2007-2019. During his tenure, the program saw unprecedented success, winning seven AMCC tournament and regular season championships in the span of eight years from 2012-2019. The Redhawks had their best season in 2016 when they won the NCAA Mideast Regional and advanced to the College World Series, finishing as one of the top four teams in the country.

Coach Rowe has garnered a great deal of accolades in his time at La Roche. He has won seven AMCC Coach of the Year Awards. In 2015 & 2016 he was named the ABCA/Diamond Mideast Region Coach of the Year as well as the D3baseball.com Mideast Region Coach of the Year. Rowe was also the recipient of the 2015 Chuck Tanner Collegiate Coach of the Year award and the 2018 D3 Hero National Coach of the Year Runner-Up. He has coached six All-Americans, 28 All-Region Selections and 95 AMCC All-Conference Selections. Five players have signed professional contracts during the Rowe Era at La Roche: 2010 George Nahay, 2015 Tyler Ferguson, 2015 Alex Simone, 2015 Tanner Wilt and 2017 David Lemley.
