La Roche 5 Penn State Behrend 2

Starting pitcher Tre Thomas sent the Lions down in order in the first and second innings.

The Redhawks stranded runners in scoring position in the second and third innings, allowing Behrend to take a 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third.

Behrend tallied an unearned run in the bottom of the fourth, but the Redhawks answered with timely hitting in the fifth.

Austin Hoffman got things started with a two-out hit to centerfield and Jonanthan Spina singled to place runners on the corners. Behrend intentionally walked Joe Professori to load the bases and Shane Roebuck made them pay with a two-run single into the right field gap to tie it at 2-2. Novak drove a ball up the middle for a one run Redhawk lead.

Relief pitcher Zach Oddi left a runner at third in the bottom of the fifth and Hoffman drove in Jonathan Melendez in the top of the sixth to extend their lead to two.

Jake Seymour came in to relieve in the sixth and tossed a 1-2-3 inning. Dylan Urban provided a sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh and Seymour shut it down in the bottom of the inning.

Hoffman went 2 for 4 with an RBI and scored. Novak reached base three times, doubled, and drove in a run. Roebuck drove in two and scored. 

Oddi threw 1.2 innings of scoreless baseball to earn the victory. Seymour followed with two shutout innings to register the save.

La Roche 13 Penn State Behrend 4 

It did not take the Redhawks long to take control in game 2 as Professori's historic blast gave La Roche a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. The home run was Professori's 222 career hit to break All-Conference shortstop Colin Williamson's school-record. It was Professori's AMCC-leading ninth blast of the season.

Starting pitcher Dustin Lander followed with two scoreless innings and the Redhawks tacked on three more in the third inning. Professori and Roebuck drew walks and Tinney was hit by a pitch to load the bases. An error allowed Professori to score while a Kifer two-out double advanced Roebuck and Tinney home.

Lander got out of a jam in the third and then sent Behrend down in order in the fourth. 

The Lions scored four in the bottom of the fifth, but the Redhawks answered with three runs in the sixth. Roebuck and Nania got the job done driving in runs while Novak lined a run-scoring double into left field.

Seymour entered in the sixth and threw a 1-2-3 inning.

Professori registered a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning and then the Redhawks struck for three in the eighth. Spina hit a bases loaded single to score Nania and Urban. Professori doubled home Hoffman and then Roebuck added a sac fly.

Tre Cunningham and Mike Nuzzo followed with scoreless innings to close it out.

Spina went 4 for 6 with 4 runs, 2 runs, 2 stolen bases, and doubled. Professori went 2 for 3 with 4 RBI, 2 runs, and homered. Roebuck scored twice and Kifer hit in two.

Lander struck out five and earned the win. Seymour tossed two scoreless innings.
