Sean Saputo joined La Roche in August 2023 as the Sports Information Director.
Saputo is also a member of the TribLive High School Sports Network as a play-by-play broadcaster, writer and does sponsorship sales.
Saputo has announced hundreds of WPIAL high school sporting events and also raised over $20,000 in sponsorship for the network in 2024.
Saputo spent two years at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), in Laredo, Texas, where he was the Sports Information Director.
Prior to TAMIU, Saputo began the SID step of his career at Keystone College, also in 2021.
Saputo began his professional journey in March 2020, spending just over a year at TAMIU, as the Assistant Sports Information Director.
Prior to TAMIU, in 2019, Saputo took on the role as multimedia intern for the DICK's Sporting Goods PONY League World Series (DSGPLWS) in Washington Co., PA. He oversaw all DSGPLWS social media accounts, image creation, team preview articles and website editing.
Saputo worked the DSGPLWS five years beforehand, in charge of running the live online statistics, as well as game recap writing.
In 2016, Saputo joined Chatham University as the Sports Information Graduate Assistant, a role he held until 2018. At Chatham, Saputo oversaw live stats for volleyball and women's hockey, as well as the creation of game programs, game recaps and updating the back end of the athletics website.
Saputo's work in university athletics began as an undergraduate student at Waynesburg University. During his time there (2012-16), he worked for the university's student-run athletic productions as a broadcaster and director.
Furthermore, he worked for the student-run television station where he was the Sports Director, in charge of attending athletic events and editing highlights for usage on the station. He also spent time helping the sports information department with athletic events.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Saputo received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Broadcasting/Sports Information from Waynesburg University in 2016. He then received a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Communication from Chatham University in 2019.
