NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. - Thursday morning, as a part of the NCAA's Division III week, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference announced the 2020-21 Academic All-Conference Team.

The conference's annual Academic All-Conference team recognizes student-athletes from institutions across the AMCC for achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher through the Fall 2020 semester. Individuals on the list who compile GPAs of 3.5 are tabbed as Peak Performers, the highest academic conference honor. A special subset of those student-athletes were also selected for induction to Chi Alpha Sigma, the National Collegiate Student-Athlete Honor Society, which recognizes both academic performance, leadership and character for selected juniors and seniors.

Across the conference, 840 student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher as of the Fall 2020 semester, earning the distinction of being named academic all-conference.

This year, a total of 82 La Roche student-athletes earned spots on the AMCC Academic All-Conference team. Out of that group, 49 Redhawks were recognized as Peak Performers. Additionally, 19 LRU student-athletes will be inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma.

The 2020-21 total of 82 La Roche student-athletes who took spots on the AMCC Academic All-Conference team represents an increase over last year's total of 67.
