LATHAM, N.Y. -The La Roche University men's and women's lacrosse programs will join the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) as an associate member this spring. Last Friday, the NEAC Presidents' Council announced its intent to move forward with a formal return to competition for spring sports in 2021. For La Roche, the decision means the men's and women's lacrosse programs will be competing for a NEAC Championship this spring.

Men's lacrosse will compete against Hilbert College, Medaille College, Penn College of Technology, SUNY Morrisville and Wells College in conference play.

Women's lacrosse will compete against Lancaster Bible College, Mt Aloysius and Penn St. Abington in conference play.

The NEAC will be releasing conference schedules for spring sports this week. These schedules will be subject to change with the possibility of pauses due to COVID-19 as well as inclement weather.

In addition to the decision to return to play, the NEAC Presidents' Council also announced on Friday they will not allow spectators as the spring season commences due to restrictions that remain in place on a number of member campuses regarding outside visitors. As the season progresses, the NEAC Presidents' Council will continue to meet monthly and reserves the right to amend the spectator policy if there are changes to current campus restrictions.
