McCANDLESS, Pa. - The La Roche Department of Athletics named Jenna Cole of the women's basketball team and Darius Lawrence of the men's basketball team their Athletes of the Week.

Senior guard Darius Lawrence led the Redhawks in scoring both games last week to help the Redhawks go 2-0 in AMCC action and remain perfect in conference play with an 8-0 record. He scored a game-high 18 points to go along with six rebounds, two assists and a steal in a victory over Alfred State (1/8), and then scored the go-ahead bucket with 5.3 seconds remaining against PS-Behrend (1/11) to lift La Roche over the reigning conference champions, 57-55, finishing the contest with a game-high 17 points while shooting a perfect 8 of 8 from the free-throw line.

Senior forward Jenna Cole had strong showings this week for the Redhawks to help her team go 2-0 in conference games and remain perfect in AMCC play with an 8-0 record. She nearly finished with a double-double against Alfred State, posting 13 points and nine rebounds. Cole followed that up by scoring her 1,000th career point en route to recording a team-high 18 points in an 83-65 victory at PS-Behrend.
