Women's Volleyball Game 1 Recap: AMCC Quad Tournament

CRESSON, Pa. - La Roche women's volleyball started their conference schedule this afternoon at the Mt. Aloysius tournament against Pitt Bradford in their first of two games today. The Panthers bested the Redhawks three sets to one by a cumulative set score of 75-48. The loss marks the team's 9th straight, but the competition they have faced in that span has been challenging. Seven of the Redhawks last nine matches have been against opponents with a winning record. The Redhawks have also not had home-field advantage during their last nine games, playing seven of them at neutral or away locations. 

The diamond in the rough in today's match for La Roche was Senior setter Bailey McDonald. She had a great all-around performance, finishing with 15 assists (team-high), 5 kills, 14 digs and a solo block.

LEADING THE ATTACK: Junior right side hitter Reilee Bradford led in kills for the second straight match with 7. She is currently fourth on the team in total kills this season (60). 

SET EM' UP: Senior setter Bailey McDonald finished with an impressive 15 assists to lead to the Redhawks. 

BACK ROW PLAY: Reilee Bradford recorded a season-high 20 digs to lead the Redhawks. She has now recorded 10 or more digs in six matches this season. In those six performances, she also averaged 3.8 kills.

AT THE LINE: Along with McDonald's solo block, Junior middle hitter Ingrid Spear and Freshman outside hitter Mackenzie Jeric recorded a block a piece.

NEXT UP: La Roche takes on the Hilbert College Hawks beginning at 3:30 p.m. today.
