PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche improved to 2-3 on the season after defeating visiting Thiel in four sets (25-20, 17-25, 22-25, 25-20).
The Redhawks got production from all over the floor. Five players had five or more kills (Mackenzie Jeric-6, Bethany Nulph-7, Ingrid Spear-5, Janet Aland-7, Christine Aland-7) and as a unit, they posted an efficient .304 hit percentage. In comparison, Thiel posted a .115 hit percentage.
La Roche also limited their mistakes and only had 12 attack errors (Thiel had 29).
On the defensive side, Junior Middle-Hitter Ingrid Spear had four solo blocks and one block assist.
Next Up: La Roche will host their first tournament of the season this Friday & Saturday starting at 6:00 ET vs Chatham.
