Redhawks Sweep Medaille For Eighth Win In Nine Matches

BUFFALO, NY -- The La Roche volleyball team took one step closer to clinching an AMCC postseason berth after sweeping Medaille 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-21). The Redhawks have won 8 of 9 and can clinch with a victory on Wednesday.

Laura Nath had a match-high 10 kills and 16 digs. Bailey McDonald was all over the court with 6 kills, 9 assists, and 11 digs. Hannah Scott had 15 digs and Sarah Storino 13 assists. 

The Redhawks dominated all three sets. They never trailed after a 1-0 deficit in set one and Nath got things going with a kill. La Roche took advantage of Medaille errors. Scott continued her strong serves with two straight aces and the Redhawks ran away with set 1.

Sarah Storino opened the second set with three straight points and an ace. Just twice did Medaille score consecutive points as the Redhawks pulled away. Scott registered another ace as La Roche took set 2.

The Redhawks trailed 12-10 in set 3. Bethany Nulph came to serve and La Roche responded with five straight points. Medaille kept it close but the Redhawks scored five of the final six points to earn the win.
