GREENSBURG, PA -- The La Roche College tennis team climbed into fourth place in the AMCC Conference after edging out Pitt-Greensburg 5-4 on Friday evening. The Redhawks improve to 2-1 both in conference, and overall.

Miranda Lasher and Kirsten King got things going, winning 8-6 at #1 doubles. The Redhawks showed their depth in singles play, with Lasher winning 6-3, 6-0 at #3 singles and Rebecca Franks taking #4 singles 6-4, 6-4. Pitt-Greensburg earned close wins at #1, #2, and #5 singles, as well as #2 doubles. La Roche was aided by Bobcat forfeits at #3 doubles and #6 singles, and ended up taking the match.

La Roche will host Thiel tomorrow at 4pm. The match is at Vincentian Academy.
