La Roche Upends Bethany in Final Home Match

WEXFORD, PA -- The La Roche women's tennis team picked up their third win with a 5-4 victory over Bethany on Friday afternoon. The Redhawks have won four in a row against Bethany.

La Roche held a 2-1 lead after the doubles portion of the match. Kylie Banister and Miranda Lasher were 8-5 winners at #1 doubles while Rochelle Selzer and Kirsten King cruised to an 8-0 sweep at #2 doubles. Both pairings improved to 5-5 on the season and will have the opportunity to clinch winning records tomorrow against Thiel.

The Redhawks split singles play to earn the team victory. Selzer and Lasher are now 7-3 on the season after picking up 6-1, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-1 wins at the #1 and #3 positions. King is 4-3 at #3 singles after cruising 6-1, 6-0.

The Redhawks will conclude fall season at Thiel tomorrow. Thiel has lost seven straight.
