Women's Tennis Picks Up Big AMCC Conference Win

PITTSBURGH, PA -- The La Roche women's tennis team needed a Sunday victory and they ended up cruising to an 8-1 win over D'Youville. The Redhawks improve to 2-5 and take a step in the right direction in trying to qualify for the AMCC playoffs. 

La Roche took all three doubles spots. Kylie Banister and Miranda Lasher got things started with an 8-6 win at #1 doubles. #2 doubles (Rochelle Selzer/Kirsten King) and #3 doubles (Rebecca Franks/Jasmyn Davis) followed with 8-4 and 8-2 victories.

All six singles matchups concluded in two sets. Lasher was excellent with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at #4 singles while Banister and King won 6-1, 6-1 at #1 and #3 singles. Selzer went 6-2, 6-2 at #2 singles while Franks we 6-2, 6-1 at #5 singles.

The Redhawks will travel to Penn State Altoona next Friday for a 5pm match.
