
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche women's soccer was unable to find the back of the net on Wednesday afternoon, as two, second-half, Washington & Jefferson goals were the difference in a 2-0 defeat.
La Roche battled incredibly well in the first half, ending the opening 45 minutes of play to a 0-0 score at the half.
Out of the break, W&J would capitalize with the game-winning goal at 56:09, before punctuating the contest at 89:28 to seal the victory.
The Redhawks had some opportunities in the game, placing five shots on net, but all would be stopped.
Danielle Dominick suffered the loss in net, stopping seven of eight shots in 56:09 between the pipes, while Julianna Hornikel allowed one and saved six in the final 33:51.
La Roche returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 9 when they host Penn State New Kensington at 4 p.m.
