Behrend Bests La Roche 2-0 in AMCC Action

ERIE, Pa. - The La Roche women's soccer team was defeated 2-0 today at Penn St. Behrend to fall to 6-7 on the season. In the AMCC standings, the Redhawks find themselves out of playoff contention in the seventh spot after Penn St. Altoona defeated Pitt Bradford earlier today 3-0 to improve to 3-4-1. Potentially the biggest game of the Redhawks season will be next week at home when they take on Altoona Wednesday, October 23rd beginning at 3:15 p.m. following the men's game. Last year, women's soccer defeated Altoona in their last regular game of the season at the Baierl Athletic Complex 2-1 on October 23rd, 2018.

Behrend scored a goal in each half and their defense was stout, limiting La Roche to only three total shots in ninety minutes of play, none on goal. Redhawks Junior goalkeeper Isabelle Orange played the entire contest and made 5 saves.

Today is the fewest amount of shots the Redhawks have taken in a single game all season. Prior to today's match, La Roche had taken at least 10 shots in their last four games, 63 in total. Their average this season is 13.5 shots/game.

Final: La Roche: 0, Penn St. Behrend: 2
