Perri Leads Women's Soccer to Road Victory over Muskingum

NEW CONCORD, Oh. - This afternoon, the La Roche women's soccer team defeated Muskingum University on the road to improve to 3-2 on the season. The game also marks the Redhawks third win in their last four contests.

Early in the 9th minute of the match, Muskingum struck first when Senior forward Emily Ellyson ripped a shot from 15 yards out past GK Hanna Csoman.

After that, the Redhawks scored three unanswered goals. Sophomore forward Alondra Gonzalez scored her first goal of the season in the 15th minute of the match off an assist from Freshman midfielder Kaylyn Cannon. Then, Senior forward Allesandra Perri scored back-to-back goals in the 29th and 42nd minutes of the first half. The latter goal came off an assist from Freshman defender Simone Glenn. Today was the first two goal game of Perri's career and the most points she's had in a game since her freshman campaign (5 points vs Medaille on October 1, 2016). 

Perri is currently tied third in the AMCC in both points (6) and goals (3). She leads the Redhawks in both categories. 

In net, Senior Hanna Csoman played the first half and Junior Isabelle Orange played the second. Each goalie finished with 3 saves and 1 goal allowed.
