Phillis, Johnson, Gonzalez Earn Spots on AMCC All-Conference Team

The La Roche College women's soccer team received great news today when three Redhawks were named to the AMCC All-Conference Team. Seniors Kerri Phillis and Marissa Johnson and freshman Alondra Gonzalez received spots on the All-Conference Third Team.

AMCC Women's Soccer All-Conference Team

Phillis earned a spot on the All-Conference Third Team for the second consecutive year. She ranked second on the Redhawks with 5 goals, 2 assists, and 12 points. She started all 16 games and scored the game-winners at Thiel and at Hilbert. She concluded her career with an assist in her final collegiate game against Penn State Altoona.

Phillis was a four-year starter. She finishes her career with 15 goals, 10 assists and 40 points.

Marissa Johnson is an AMCC All-Conference performer for the second straight season. Johnson earned an All-Conference nod as a defender last season and as midfielder this year. She finished the season with a goal and an assist, and concluded her career with an assist in her final collegiate game against Penn State Altoona.

Johnson was a three-year starter and scored three goals as a defender in 2017.

Gonzalez enjoyed a terrific debut season and was rewarded with a spot on the All-Conference Third Team. Gonzalez led the Redhawks and ranked seventh in the AMCC with 7 goals. She ranked eighth in the AMCC with 17 points and tenth with 3 assists. She scored two game-winners and closed the season with a pair of goals against Penn State Altoona.
