Redhawks Unbeaten Streak Comes to End at Grove City

GROVE CITY, PA -- La Roche's three game unbeaten streak came to an end on Friday evening. The Redhawks took the road for a non-conference game and came back with a 5-1 loss to a very tough Grove City team. Grove City was predicted to finish second in the PAC after advancing to the ECAC Semifinal last season.

Grove City scored three goals in the first half including two by Lacy Harkrader. Lindsay Hutton got things started on a corner kick in the fourteenth minute before Harkrader netted two from inside the box. Vanessa Ceravolo and Samantha Chambers each had quality opportunites in the first half but both shots just missed.

Isabelle Orange got the start in goal in the second half and she was excellent. Orange faced ten shots and turned away nine. Ceravolo scored the Redhawks lone goal when she converted a penalty kick in the sixty-first minute.

Twenty-three Redhawks saw action in the game.

La Roche will play their third of six straight road games when they travel to Westminster on Tuesday.
