PITTSBURGH, PA – The La Roche women's soccer team took D'Youville College to the wire and gave a valiant effort before falling 1-0 in an AMCC Quarterfinal game. Catie Giebner scored the lone goal for the Spartans.
The game was mostly a defensive battle with each team recording a combined four shots on goal. The Lady Redhawks best chance come off a Vanessa Ceravolo shot that had a chance to beat the keeper while D'Youville registered the remaining three shots on goal.
Despite the loss, it was another terrific year for the women's soccer team as they made the AMCC Tournament for the seventeenth time in the past eighteen seasons.
