PITTSBURGH, PA – Bethanie Moreschi broke a scoreless tie with her 66th career goal in the Lady Redhawks (8-7-3, 4-3-2) 1-0 win over Pitt-Greensburg on Tuesday. The win secures a sixteenth consecutive postseason appearance and sets up a rematch with the Bobcats in an AMCC First Round game on Saturday.
Moreschi finished with a goal and Nicole Ferraco added an assist. Maria DiPerna made 5 saves and registered her 3 shutout in the past 4 games.
Moreschi attempted as many shots as the entire Bobcat squad as La Roche outshot Pitt-Greensburg 23-6. The Lady Redhawks also attempted 17 cornerkicks to Pitt-Greensburg's one.
La Roche women's soccer will travel to Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday, October 27 for an AMCC Tournament First Round game. It will be the Bobcat's first postseason appearance since 2007.
