Women's Lacrosse Competes in Final Home Contest of the Season

PITTSBURGH, PA - This afternoon Women's Lacrosse faced conference opponent SUNY Morrisville for the final home game of the season. 

Cece Ligouri and Malia Sigg were the sole owners of the Redhawks' two goals. Liguori earned two draw-control wins while Sigg earned 4. 

Leading defensively was Alexandra Mecchia who caused 5 turnovers. She also scooped up a ground ball and won one draw control. 

Jade Chalmers and Janelle Amadio tied for 3 caused turnovers each. Amadio scooped 3 ground balls, and Chalmers scooped up 2. 

Jules Hornikel started in goal and remained until the final 2 minutes. She kept 11 shots from reaching the back of her net. Tara Lasher took over for the last two minutes and earned one save while in the position. 

La Roche is on the road for the final two games of the season, a quick trip to Saint Vincent, and a long trek to Wells College to wrap up the conference season.
