PITTSBURGH, PA - Women's Lacrosse of La Roche University fell this afternoon to the Thiel College Tomcats, but not without effort.
The Redhawks fell by only 9 to the Tomcats.
Tea Smith led the offensive charge for the tea, scoring 3 goals. She was unassisted each time. Smith also recorded 2 ground balls and 1 caused turnover.
Cece Liguori fired off 2 shots that found the back of the net. She was once assisted by Tara Lasher. Ligouri recorded 4 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers.
Malia Sigg, Kinsey Sperling, Jade Fuccaro, and Kate McCallister each added a goal to the overall tally. Sperling also recorded 2 assists and Fuccaro recorded 1.
Jules Hornikel was in the net once more. The freshman kept 19 shots from reaching the back of her net, while also scooping up 3 ground balls and causing 2 turnovers.
The Redhawks will be away next week against Westminster on Tuesday (3/21) at 7:00 PM.
