Women's Lacrosse Plays Final Game of the Season

PITTSBURGH, PA - In their final game of the season, the women's lacrosse team of La Roche University took on the Mount Aloysius Mounties. Although they were hoping to squeeze in one more win this season, it just wasn't in the cards. 

Kate McCallister was the first to score for the Redhawks. She got this goal unassisted with 26 seconds remaining in the first period.

In the third quarter Malia Sigg and Jasey Reiser each put a ball in the net. Reiser was assisted by Cece Ligouri. 

Reiser returned the favor and in the final period assisted Jade Fuccaro with a goal. 

Tea Smith and McCallister each also scored a goal in the final period of play. 

McCallister led the team on offense with two goals, seven shots, and three ground balls. 

Defensively, Ligouri and Sigg had great games. Ligouri recorded seven ground balls, two caused turnovers and won eight draw controls. 

Sigg earned three ground balls, four draw control wins, and four shots. 

Tara Lasher hung tough in goal for her final 60 minutes this season. The goalie recorded four saves and two caused turnovers.
