Women's Bowling Opens Season At Grapevine Classic

ERIE, Pa. – La Roche women's bowling opened the 2023-24 season in day one of the Grapevine Classic, hosted by Penn St.-Behrend, and at the end of Saturday's traditional play, sit in 10th place.

 

The Redhawks for the day accumulated a traditional total of 3,393 for an average of 135.7.

 

The first two matches of the day saw Penn St.-Behrend and Hilbert getting the best of La Roche by finals of 846-764 and 768-640.

 

The Redhawks bounced back taking traditional match #3 against Pitt-Greensburg by a final pin total of 728-711, but games #4 and #5 went against La Roche, dropping the matches to William Smith (850-676) and D'Youville (825-585).

 

Leading the Redhawks in the individual standings is Ashley Krivansky who sits 24th with an 803 total and 160.6 average.

 

Winter Brown follows in 29th with a 769 (153.8 average), while Tayla Germanich (720 – 142 avg.) sits 35th, Crystal Lynn is 36th (702 – 140.4 avg.) and Krista Keene (409 – 81.8 avg.) is in 50th to round out the team.

 

Sunday's second day will see the teams compete in Baker play.
