Women's Bowling Named AMCC Peak Performer Team

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - On day two of the NCAA's "Division III Week", the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) announced their Peak Performers, the teams with the highest cumulative GPA's in their respective sport. Not only did the La Roche women's bowling team finish with the highest cumulative GPA in their sport, they finished with the highest overall GPA among all sports teams in the AMCC, maintaining an impressive 3.645 at the conclusion of the Fall 2019 semester.

When asked about her team's success in the classroom, first year head coach Diane Jones noted "I am so proud of these ladies for achieving such success both on and off the lanes this year. To be able to finish with not only the highest cumulative GPA in their sport, but also with the highest overall GPA among all sports teams in the AMCC is amazing. Being the first year for the bowling program, these ladies faced the challenges of a new situation with a great attitude.  I am very proud of the two freshmen, Caitlin and Ashley, who adapted to new college life and classes with the help of their teammates. Education is the priority to these ladies and they spent a lot of time studying while traveling to matches. This is a terrific group and deserve a tremendous amount of credit for all of their hard work this year."
