PITTSBURGH, PA - Redhawks' women's basketball team continued their six game conference win streak with a 65-48 win over Hilbert at Coach Scott Lang Court.
In the beginning it took the women a second to find their bearings, and once they did, they never looked back. La Roche shot 40 percent from field goal range and dominated with fast breaks with 23 points earned from the hustle.
The Lady Redhawks defense forced 29 turnovers from the Hawks and was able to convert those turnovers into 27 points.
Machia Hairston netted the game high 13 points, shooting 60 percent from the field goal range. She also captured the team high seven rebounds in tonight's contest.
Following just one behind was Makayla Abram netted 12 points and fought for six rebounds. She shot 57 percent from the field goal range, and shot 66 percent from the free throw line.
La Roche matches up this coming Wednesday at home against Penn State-Altoona, who the Redhawks were able to steal an overtime win from on the road. The showdown moves to La Roche, and tipoff is at 5:30 PM.
