McCANDLESS, Pa. - The Redhawks return to action this Saturday, January 4th to take on the D'Youville Spartans at the Kerr Fitness Center. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. following the conclusion on the men's game.

Last Time Out: Prior to a well deserved two week holiday break, women's basketball took down Pitt Greensburg in overtime on December 21st in the AMCC Game of the Week by a score of 73-63. Sophomore forward Dasja Anderson sent the game into overtime off a masterfully designed played by Head Coach Kamela Gissendanner. The Redhawks managed to outscore the the Bobcats 12-2 in extra time to improve to 5-0 against the conference and remain atop the AMCC standings. Over the fourth quarter and overtime, La Roche's on ball adjustment's forced Pitt Greensburg to shoot 4 of 23 (17%) from the field. The Redhawks, on the other hand, shot 10 of 15 (67%) from the floor in the fourth quarter and overtime. Junior's Ayanna Mazyck and Shaundrea Butler combined for 40 points (Mazyck: 20, Butler: 20). Overall, LRU shot a season best 53% from the field in the victory.

- Ayanna Mazyck was dubbed the AMCC Player of the Week for the first time in her career after leading the Redhawks to a 2-0 record against UPG and MAC, averaging 18.0 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game while shooting 15 of 22 from the field.
- Shaundrea Butler tied her career-high in the contest against the Bobcats, going for 20 points while shooting 8 of 12 from the field. Butler also dished out five assists and added a steal in the victory.
- Dasja Anderson currently leads the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 29 of 52 (55.8%) from the floor in six games this season.
- La Roche is the only team in the AMCC still undefeated in conference play at 5-0.
