Redhawks Soar Past Medaille to 88-58 Senior Day Win

PITTSBURGH, PA -- The Redhawk women's basketball team put on a scoring clinic, blowing out Medaille 88-58. The Redhawks tied Hilbert's conference record at 13-3 and they sit atop the AMCC. Medaille never led.

The deep Redhawk roster all contributed in the first quarter. Seven different players scored in the first ten minutes and La Roche led 22-3 after eight minutes of play. They held a 29-7 edge at the end of the first.

The second quarter was no different, as La Roche dominated and took a 53-21 lead into halftime. 

The second half was all about closing for the Redhawks. La Roche kept things going and breezed to an 88-58 finish. 

La Roche led by as many as 40 points during the fourth quarter. 88 points was the most points the team has put up this season, with 87 being the previous high.

Forward, Jenna Cole scored at least 6 points in all 4 quarters and finished with 30 points. Forward, Dasja Anderson finished just shy of a double-double, as she had 8 rebounds and 12 points. Guard, Shaundrea Butler, led both teams in assists with 11.

The Redhawks shot 54.1% from the field and 38.5% from behind the three-point line.

Jenna Cole still owns the highest percentage of points per game in the AMCC, with 20 PPG. She is also fifth in the AMCC in shooting percentage, at 46.8%. Right behind is teammate Dasja Anderson who is fourth at 47.6%.

The Redhawks have now won three games in a row and have a 9-1 record at the Kerr Fitness Center. They had an amazing attendance today of 340 people.

The Redhawks have two conference games remaining on the season, both away. The next game will be against Mt. Aloysius on February 13th.
