La Roche G Darrian Johnson has been named the AMCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Johnson scored 22 points, dished out five assists and brought down four rebounds in an 81-68 win at Medaille on Saturday. The victory is the Redhawks' third straight and they now sit just a game back in the AMCC Conference standings.
Johnson has been excellent for the Redhawks. She currently ranks fourth in the AMCC averaging 16.8 points per game and leads the AMCC in three-pointers. She has scored in double figures in 9 of 10 games this season and in seven in a row. She has also scored at least 20 points in three games this season.
Johnson is a senior and a New Castle, PA native.
