The La Roche softball team was picked to place ninth in this morning's AMCC Preseason Coaches' Poll. They finished tenth last season. 

The young Redhawk squad is looking to improve on a 14-19, 4-12 record from last season. They had a solid start to the 2017 campaign, but injuries took a toll towards the season's halfway point. They closed the season winning four of the past five games and welcome a talented freshmen class this year.

Andie Lippman and Savannah Leonard are preseason players to watch. 

Senior OF Andie Lippman ( Fombell, PA/Riverview)…AMCC third team all-conference selection in 2017…Recorded a .313 batting average…Led the team in hits with 36.

Senior P/DH Savannah Leonard (Meyersdale, PA/Meyersdale)…AMCC second team all-conference selection in 2017…As a DH in 2017, she recorded a batting average of .330 and a slugging percentage of .440.
