Men's and Women's Cross Country Compete in Rainy CMU Invitational

PITTSBURGH, PA – The La Roche men's and women's cross country teams competed in a rainy Carnegie Mellon University Invitational on Saturday morning at Schenley Park. The men's team placed ninth and the women's team tenth in one of the most competitive races in the area.

Hemang Sharma (33:43), Brandon Hartz (33:53) and Patrick Dailey (33:57) all finished within fifteen seconds of each other to place 62nd, 64th and 65th. Johnny Nicholson ran a 36:05 to place 70th while Joseph Kelch came in 73rd with a 36:54.

Andrea Luciano ran a 25:09 on the 6K course to place 89th. Devin Kelly finished in 26:46 for 95th place while Amanda DeIuliis (103rd, 28:42), RaeAnna Palmer (104th, 29:04) and Brittany Craig crossed the line in consecutive order.

The Redhawks will compete in the Oberlin Invitational next Saturday.
