STEUBENVILLE, OH – The La Roche men's and women's cross country teams both placed third at this morning's Franciscan University XC Invitational.

Andrea Luciano led the Redhawks with a ninth place finish and a 25:00 on the 6K course. Devin Kelly crossed the line in 28:08 (16^th) for a personal best. Jodie Sauer (28:36, 20^th), Amanda DeIuliis (29:30, 21^st), RaeAnna Palmer (29:45, 22^nd) and Brittany Craig (30:02, 23^rd) came in consecutive order to help La Roche edge out Mt. Aloysius for third place.

Hemang Sharma (34:14, 9^th) and Patrick Dailey (34:37, 11^th) both ran excellent races to pace the Redhawks. Brandon Hartz continued his strong senior season with a 35:38 and a 13^th place finish on the 8K course. Johnny Nicholson crossed the finish line in 36-flat (14^th) while Bryan Gatto rounded out the team's top 5 at 37:54 (17^th).

The Redhawks will enjoy their bye week before heading to Disney World for a meet on October 8.
