ERIE, PA – The La Roche College cross country team competed in the Penn State Behrend Cross Country meet on Saturday with the men placing twelfth and the women sixteenth.

The young men's squad running with a junior, sophomore and six freshmen finished in front of three other AMCC Conference teams (Mt. Aloysius, Medaille, Pitt-Bradford). John Nicholson (34:29, 8k), Hemang Sharma (34:54), Tyler Jamison (35:57), Brandon Hartz (36:05) and Joseph Kelsch (38:21) were the top five finishers for the Redhawks.

Andrea Luciano (24:39, 6k) paced the Lady Redhawks who placed in front of Hiram College. RaeAnna Palmer (26:33), Brittany Craig (27:37), Amanda DeIullis (30:23), and Morgan Churilla (31:58) also contributed points for La Roche.

The cross country team will run in the Franciscan Invitational next Saturday.
