Nick Russo enters his second season as head coach of the men's soccer program in 2020-21. Prior to becoming the HC, coach Russo served as an assistant to the Redhawks for three seasons. Before coming back to La Roche, Russo was the Varsity Head Coach at Shaler Area High School for three seasons. As a head coach at the youth cup soccer level, he has led a Beadling Soccer Club team for the past eight years which includes winning two state cups. He is currently the head coach of the U17 Boys Elite Beadling Team.

A 2010 Graduate of La Roche University, Russo was a four-year starter and captain of the men's soccer team, earning all conference honors as a defender. Post graduation he continued his soccer career by training and playing in matches for an English semi-professional team. Nick finished his playing career in Kansas City, MO playing for the Kansas City Comets of the MISL.

Now using his Business Management degree from LRU, Nick works for a small family owned business located in Pittsburgh.
